Nashville, I'm forever Yours... Hannah Rachael Photography Has a New Home. .

I've been trying to write this post for months.

Not because I didn't know what to say... but because every time I sat down to write it, I got emotional. And honestly? I think that's exactly why I needed to share it.

So here it is. The full story.

From Connecticut to Nashville... The Journey That Brought Me Home <3

If you've followed me for a while, you may have heard the backstory, but here's the FULL origin story. I started my photography journey back in 2011 after a moment that changed everything... Straight out of high school (after being on-set for majority of my life as a child actor) , I wanted to officially c

hase my dream as a model. I was standing in a studio in New York City, in a bikini and heels, in front of a panel of men who looked me up and down and told me I wasn't good enough...

On that drive home, something inside me started forming, and I made a decision. (I actually don't even think I was the one who made this decision. Honestly... it's almost like fate took over in that moment and thats how this crazy ride started)

If the modeling industry wasn't going to celebrate me in a size 8 body... it was never going to celebrate real women and real bodies...so, I was going to build something that did... but there was one small problem.... I had no clue how to do it at the time haha.

I picked up a camera and started shooting weddings as a side hustle, and the first wedding I ever shot, changed everything!! The maid of honor fell in love with me the day of her best friends wedding and asked me to capture her wedding in the fall and I agreed. She mentioned wanting to gift her soon-to-be husband a boudoir session and I instantly knew THIS was how I can change the world! After her session with me, I knew this was my next step.

What started as a small boudoir studio in Connecticut grew into something I genuinely couldn't have ever imagined. My small 800 sq ft studio expanded into a 2000 sq ft dream space I designed from the ground up.

Almost a thousand women came through my doors!! All different sizes, all different colors, all different shapes. Workshops across the globe. Teaching on stages & shooting sessions in California, Portugal, Australia... more places than I can even remember anymore. A mission that kept getting bigger no matter how hard I tried to contain it.

And then life did what life does... it called me somewhere new.

Why Nashville. Why Now.

Nashville chose me before I chose it back.

I'd been traveling here to teach, to shoot, to connect... and every single time I landed at BNA I felt something I couldn't shake. This was the first place my mom and I vacationed together in 2011 right after that NYC modeling trip fail and I said then, "this is where I am meant to be". (( I literally posted my first ever instagram post of the downtown Nashville city-scape and wrote that as the caption... HOW CRAZY!!))

This city has an energy that mirrors everything I believe about creativity, reinvention, and showing up as the fullest version of yourself... I couldnt resist it.

but wait, theres more!! lol

In July 2024 I recieved a message on instagram from this handsome man asking if I'd like to go on a date with him. He met my sister years prior when she visit Nashville and was writing music and something inside of him told him to message me 12 years later! He wanted to 'shoot his shot'... I had a girls trip scheduled to Nashville and agreed to go on a date with him... come to find out, we were soul mates. My sister was right haha, she knew when she met him back then that we'd be perfect for each other, we just had to wait till the timing was right and fate (yet again!) brought us together.

So I stopped fighting it.

I closed my Connecticut studio, packed up my gear & all my things, and moved to Nashville Tennessee.

Hannah Rachael Photography is now fully rooted in Nashville, Tennessee.

I've made beautiful connections, started building a team, and even met some amazing creatives who let me join their studio. And I am not done building yet. Not even close.

I'm currently redesigning The Nashville Creatives Studio near downtown Broadway... a full production space that will become one of the most beautiful and versatile places to be photographed in the entire city. And if that wasn't enough... I'm converting a vintage 1960s Airstream into a mini studio that will sit right on my Mount Juliet property, surrounded by the farm fields of middle Tennessee once it's done.

I told you. I wont stop chasing these dreams!!!
