Hi. I'm Hannah.
Portrait Photographer. Educator. Studio builder. World traveler. Sourdough baker. Taco enthusiast... and the woman who has spent 13 years making other women feel like the most powerful version of themselves in front of a camera.
I opened Hannah Rachael Photography in 2012, shortly after attempting to model in the NYC industry. I was invited to a model search... I stood in a room (in just a bikini) full of men sitting at a long table, who looked me up and down and told me I wasn't skinny enough, tall enough, or pretty enough to chase my dream... I knew then, in that moment, that the world needed to see real women, real bodies, and I decided that every woman deserved to be seen. So, if they weren't going to do it... I was.
I shot my first boudoir session in 2013 & officially opened my boudoir studio in 2014. What started as a small dream in New York City, transitioned into my dream studio in Connecticut AND NOW has transformed into an even bigger dream in Nashville Tennessee!! I haven't stopped expanding and I never plan to.
For the last 15 years I have taught on stages from California to Portugal and everywhere in between. I've hosted week-long workshops across the globe teaching all about boudoir. I've spoken at every major photography convention in the world as well as hosted my own private workshops. I became an educator in 2020 because I realized the mission was bigger than my studio walls & other photographers needed to know how to do this work right. I wanted to teach them how to pose every body shape, light every skin tone, and build confidence in women effortlessly.
When I'm not traveling or teaching, you'll find me building up my little Nashville home, redesigning The Nashville Creatives Studio near downtown Broadway, or finishing up the most exciting project of my life... a vintage 1960s Airstream (I'm converting it into a mini studio that will eventually sit on property between the farm lands of Mount Juliet TN!)
I specialize in effortless femme fatale, fine art nude, cinematic lighting, and emotional portraiture with serious intention behind every single frame. My sessions aren't photoshoots. They're full production days with hair, makeup, styling and amazing teams to make you feel like a million bucks. They're the moment you stop shrinking and start taking up every inch of space you deserve.

Working with Hannah was literally nothing short of an absolute pleasure! When doing boudoir shoots, it is SUPER important that you feel comfortable and beautiful, and Hannah just has a way if making you feel like the best version of yourself and ACTUALLY CAPTURES IT! She makes you genuinely smile and laugh and is extremely creative. The time you spend with her flys by because you’re having so much fun! Hannah is so gifted and makes the shoot so much fun! My wife and I booked a shoot and our expectations were completely blown away. Our pictures came out AMAZING, yet Hannah makes it look almost effortless during the shoot. She takes your ideas and hers and puts together the perfect shoot for you. She is a pro, 100%, but will keep you laughing and comfortable the whole time. She takes every bit of awkwardness out of the whole thing and makes it fun, sexy, and empowering. My wife and I are still riding high from the experience and can't WAIT to get our finished album. This was a great way for us to freshen up our marriage with a new experience that we vowed to go into with an open mind. It was everything we wanted and more.
